Happy Monday, y’all! Crazy how we’re almost done with November! With school and work taking up majority of my time, I’m surprised I was able to read anything, but in today’s post I’ll be sharing the books I have recently read this month.
So like I said this month has been rough with work and school that I barely had time to read, but with finals week almost coming to an end, I’ll be able to read more. 🙌🏽
I’m honestly surprised I was able to finish any books and I’m actually quite proud 😌 because I’m such a slow reader but boy do audiobooks help a bunch! But enough rambling here are the books I’ve read so far this month. 🙂
In the Time of the Butterflies – Julia Alvarez
4/5 stars . I really enjoyed reading this while listening to the audiobook and I like how the voice actor put so much emotion into it to where it really got to you. Definitely recommend listening to the audiobook!
Clap When You Land – Elizabeth Acevedo
4/5 stars. I hadn’t read anything in verse until I read this book and I really enjoyed it and it’s kind of embarrassing to say that it took me forever to read this book, but I finished it eventually and loved it. Such a good read and crazy how quickly things can change.
Legendary- Stephanie Garber
4/5 stars. I really loved seeing Tella’s adventure through Caraval and this was my first time listening to the audiobook and I really enjoyed it and I can’t wait to read Finale to see what happens to Legend and the sisters.🙊
Heartstopper Series – Alice Oseman
4/5 stars. When I first heard about this series I knew I had to get them and because they were at a decent price, I got them ASAP and I’m so glad I did. I can understand the hype. It’s such a cute series with topics one can discuss with other readers. I really loved this series and I can’t wait for the other two volumes to come out!
Daisy Jones and the Six – Taylor Jenkins Reid
4/5 stars. I was kind of hesitant to read this one because it got so much hype like to the point where it was kind of crazy how hyped up it was, BUT I get it now. It’s such a good read and I loved hearing each perspective and I even cried at the close end so I really enjoyed this book.
4/5 stars. I really enjoyed this book and it kept me intrigued the whole time and the audiobook was good too. I won’t spoil anything, but gosh such a good read.
Currently trying to finish The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien. I had let this sit on the sidelines for a minute, but I’m so ready to dive back into this wonderful world. 😊
So those are all the books I’ve read so far this month and I’m happy to say they were all good reads 💗. I hope you enjoyed this post and while you’re here let me ask, what have you read lately?🤗
I hope your day/night has been a good one. 💗
