Happy Sunday, y’all! So today is going to be a bit of a throwback or memory flashback because today marks 2 years that I was in Europe in 2017. Crazy how time flies!
It was on April 7th, 2017 when we first landed in Rome, Italy and from that moment on I fell in love with Italy and Europe as a whole. I remember all the fun times and all the memories made. I want to go back some day and I will go back even if it’s for a little while.
I miss how at home I felt while there – almost like I was in a different world or something. I know it sounds a bit exaggerated, but this was my first ever trip that wasn’t Mexico so this was big for me. It was huge. It’s had always been my dream to go to Italy, France and Spain and I finally got to do it and I’m so glad I took that opportunity or else I would’ve honestly been beating myself up about not going.
I also want to acknowledge our tour guide and bus driver for providing us so many laughs and memories as well because without them who knows how the trip would’ve panned out. These men took care of us so well while also being professional and for that and them I’m so thankful. Safe to say I cried when we had to say goodbye to them. Crazy how in such a short time one single person (or two in this case) can make such an impact on you. Thank goodness for social media because our tour guide gives me lots of pretty travel pictures haha.
So what did this trip teach me? Lots of things, I would say.
Take this opportunity and enjoy it – I was so unsure on if it was the right time to go or if it was doable, but I decided to put all that doubt behind me and take this life changing opportunity and while there enjoy my time because who knows when I’ll be back.
Don’t stress too much, have fun – I will say I was a bit of a stress mess bc we had an itinerary and sometimes things didn’t go to plan and that kind of annoyed me but I took a step back and breathed and finally said, “why am I stressing out so much about this? Get a grip, girl, you’re in Europe – have fun!” And that’s exactly what I did. Haha let me tell ya, their night clubs can get crazy haha. Also while in Barcelona we got to go where they had filmed the cheetah girls 2 movie my middle school girl heart was fluttering haha. It was fun!
Take pictures but also be in the moment – I’ll be the first to admit that i wanted to take so many pictures that my poor phone would have screamed for help but I did take a few, but also took in the moment first and then go camera crazy haha. So glad I have pictures to look back on.
Travel as often as you can – while traveling has been put on the back-burner at the moment, I do plan to travel later on down the road (hopefully to London this time!) and I’m pretty excited to see how that all pans out. It’s gonna definitely require time and good decisions, but I definitely do want to travel while I’m able to still. 🙂
Now for some pictures! 🙂
(Excuse my face in the last one there were so many people so i had to do a quick shot and it was just gonna be me but ole girl decided to pop in so I blurred her face as much as I could just in case lol)
So that’s my little trip down memory lane and I hope y’all enjoyed this and if you’ve traveled anywhere recently let me know down in the comments below! 🙂
