Happy Monday, y’all! For today’s post I’ll be talking about my start to losing weight and going to the gym more and go through my thoughts, struggles and goals on this topic!
So as many of us, going to the gym for me has been a struggle ever since high school. I would go constantly for an amount of time and after that time, I don’t go anymore and continue this for months and for this case, years, too. I don’t know what it is (if you do, let me know in the comments!) , but there’s a point where I enjoy it and then get bored with it. That’s to be expected, right? But lately, I never got that motivation or determination back until now because I can feel a change in my body and know that it’s for my well-being for a healthier life. So hopefully this journey to fitness/health, will be more than just a couple weeks, but more of a lifestyle.
So let’s talk about my struggles. Like mentioned before, I would go through time gaps of going and getting bored after that, so that was a struggle because, really, I didn’t get much out of it, if anything. Then, my eating habits didn’t help either and I noticed that I would get crazy hungry after going to the gym and end up having a feast minutes after leaving the gym, which is probably not the best or wisest decision. Lastly, time management, I don’t know why, but I always felt (and still do, not going to lie) that I had a good chunk of my day taken out by going to the gym and would just do a quick workout (if you could even call it that) and leave and do all my other things and again, eat like a madwoman, but I want to better my time management when it comes to the gym so I don’t cause more stress than I need.
My goals for this new journey is to obviously dedicate and motivate myself to go to the gym and not overwork myself while there and taking it step by step. I know I won’t lose all the weight in a couple of weeks (that’d be kinda cool though haha) and I know that I should put the goal to be better up top instead of losing weight, even though losing weight is one of my goals, my overall health and physical activity is my main goal. I also want to better my time management, my eating habits and my dedication. I know it won’t be easy, but I will definitely work my hardest to fulfill these goals and continue to do so for hopefully as long as I can.
