Happy Wednesday, y’all! This post is going up a tad bit late but better late than never is what I always say. Today I’m going to review the LaLaFox Second Skin Foundation that came out a couple months ago.
So LaLaFox is a Korean beauty brand that recently launched in Walmart and when I saw this I was instantly drawn to it because I’ve always wanted to try out their brands, but didn’t want to try online because I’m a bit iffy when it comes to international buys, I don’t know, I’m weird, haha.
Unfortunately at my Walmart literally all that was left was the foundation and the one I got was the last one in the darker shade so I got it and oh my goodness, it only cost me $6 so I was happy that it wasn’t crazy expensive and budget friendly.
The foundation is in a sleek black bottle and it’s a pump foundation which I love because sometimes it can be tricky when it’s not in pump form because you essentially do waste more product that way and a pump is more sanitary or so I’ve heard.
So the shade I got was Honey Bronze and the color is pretty light for it being the darkest shade, now keep in mind, my options were limited so if there were more shades at your local Walmart, please inform me in the comments below. 🙂
So here’s what a first pump of foundation would look like and like I said it’s not dark it’s more of a light to medium shade. The color may look wonky when just blended in itself (picture will be below), but when on my skin it blended fairly well, however, when I applied it I felt a slight sting to the foundation and wasn’t sure if that’s how it’s supposed to feel or if it’s not getting along with my skin, nonetheless, I wanted a bit and it did go away.
So like I said before blended by itself looks wonky, but once you get your sponge or brush to blend it out onto your skin, it blends in pretty well and this is a light to medium coverage, but can be build up to your choice of coverage, I personally do a second layer and be done with it because I don’t want it to be or feel too cakey. I also took the time to do a flash picture, sadly, I don’t have the picture, but for me flashback wasn’t a issue.
I’ve tried this out a good bit and while I do like that it’s affordable and a decent foundation, I don’t think I’ll be purchasing it again. Mainly because of the slight stinging sensation it gives, but I’d rather be safe than sorry later and if you’ve tried this foundation out and had different or similar results as me, I’d love to know about it in the comments. While I wasn’t too keen on the foundation I am, however, excited to try out their brow, mascara, and lip products.
