Hey, y’all! Happy Saturday! Thanks for stopping by my blog! So for today I am going to be doing a review on this new palette that I got for Christmas (Thanks to my sweet hubs for getting this for me!) so let’s get on with this review! 🙂
So this is the Tarte Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette and the price range for this palette is $53.00 and yes, it is a tad on the pricey side, but I think this is a very functional palette that can be used for everyday use!
This is what the inside of the palette looks like and I am LOVING (!!) these shades! It have the perfect amount of neutrals, medium and darker toned colors! In all this palette has 16 matte shades and 4 shimmer shades! I’ve also included swatches so I will talk about these now! I’ll be going in rows and going from top to bottom vertically!
Ethereal, Glam, Minx & Trendy
So these are the shimmer shades and I love these colors! Ethereal is a almost Fall orange color, Glam is a very classy champagne color, Minx is a light burgundy shimmery wine color and Trendy is a duochrome blueish/purple color. I can definitely see myself using these colors very soon! These shimmer shades are pretty pigmented so I would apply a small amount first and then apply as much as you would like if you feel like you need (or want) more shimmer! Overall, these shimmers are perfect for me, personally!
First Row: Classic, Vintage, Chic & Indie
The first row is the more neutral colors! Classic is definitely the most transparent color, it’s a cream color so I can see this being a base color. Vintage is a more slightly opaque color, it’s a white/ivory color that I can be used as an inner corner highlight ever so slightly. Chic is my favorite in this row! On the website it says it’s a pale pink, but to me it’s more of a mauvey pink color, not too light and not too dark either. Indie is my second favorite! It’s a light soft brown color and I love it!
Second Row: Innocent, Fierce, Profesh, & Bold
These are the more medium toned colors! Innocent is a dark peach color and I love this color, it could even pass as a burnt orange color, in my opinion. Fierce is a dark plum color, Profesh is a dark brown color and Bold is a light chestnut brown color. All these colors are gorgeous and very pigmented (like the rest of the shades!) and aren’t too intense, in my opinion, I would use these colors in the beginning of Fall, for sure!
Third Row: Whimsy, No Filter, Mod & Edgy
Now these are the more darker tones! Whimsy is a dark almost nutmeg color (that’s how I see it, anyway haha), No Filter is a dark purple/mauve color, Mod is a dark brownish/red color, and Edgy is a classic chocolate brown! Again, I love these shades, they’re very pigmented and blendable and buildable, as well. If you like darker tones or want to experiment with these colors, this palette is great for that! I will definitely get use out of these shades!
Fourth Row: Smoked, Vamp, Drama & Punk
These shades are the darker tones of the palette! Smoked is a very dark brown, Vamp is a almost purple/black-cherry color, Drama is a dark maroon color, and Punk is a classic black shade. When I saw these and swatched them, I got very edgy, punk-rock vibes, not going to lie and I am totally okay with that! Personally, I don’t normally go for these colors, but I’m excited to experiment with these shades!
That was the palette and the swatches and my own personal thoughts on this product. I would recommend this palette (and I have!) to anyone who is wanting to experiment with more neutral, dark colors, but want them to be all together, as well! If you love neutral to dark palettes then this one is for you! I will say that these can get overly pigmented so I would suggest using a small amount first and then build it up to your liking! I know the price can play a factor in whether to buy it or not, but in my opinion, I definitely think it’s worth it! I love this, definitely recommend, and will be my go-to palette this year!
What do you think about this palette? Do you have this in your collection? What other palettes are you wanting to try out? 🙂
I hope y’all have a wonderful Saturday and thanks for stopping by!
